If you didn’t write, what would you do for work?
I would probably work at a nonprofit that focused on something important to me like social justice, serving children or youth at risk or providing food for those who need it.
Do you read your book reviews? How do you deal with bad or good ones?
I read certain reviews, but I don't read one and two star reviews ever. I'm not one of those people who thinks you can find something useful in even the worst review. I don't have such a big ego that I think my books are going to please every reader, nor do I need them to. I write for those readers that love the same kind of stories I do. I'm happy to interact with my readers online and have worked hard to build a community where loyal readers know their viewpoint is listened to. I love to share good review quotes on my social media and am always grateful for the time reviewers spend reading my books, regardless of whether they loved them, or not.
Do you hide any secrets in your books that only a few people will find?
Sometimes, I do include characters and references to previous books but don't mention it. As I a reader, I love that and know many of my readers feel the same.
What was your hardest scene to write?
It really depends on where I'm at mentally. After my mom died, I cried through every scene that even referenced death. Sometimes, I'm in a such a happy space, I really struggle writing the crisis point scenes and sometimes they just flow from my fingertips. In HIS MAJESTY'S HIDDEN HEIR, the hardest scene to write was the ending. I wasn't ready to let the characters go and I wanted to get that final scene just right, so I could.

The mother of his child…
…and wearing his crown?
Prince Konstantin can’t forget Emma Carmichael, who vanished after a wedding contract forced him to end their relationship. A surprise meeting five years later shocks Konstantin—Emma has a son. Unmistakably his son.
Emma wants Konstantin in their son’s life—yet she’s wary. She’d had no choice but to walk away; his family hadn’t deemed her worthy of being his princess. But as their reunion stokes the flames of their passion, can she trust that this time their bond is strong enough to prove them all wrong?
