Favorites

My favourite season is autumn. I adore the rich reds, golds and browns that deck the countryside at that time. It doesn’t carry the bitter cold of winter but it’s great to wrap up warm with gloves and hats and woolly tights and boots. I am a scorpio so that may influence me.

Frustrations

Queuing with people who don’t know how to queue. I guess it’s a very British thing – we are renowned for our well-mannered queuing ability. When people push in it makes my blood boil, and my mouth blurt out “There’s a queue here, join it. From the back!” 

Fabulous

Having just got back from the Austrian Alps, it has to be skiing. The views of snowy mountains, the sound of the wind and chinks from the chairlifts, the multitude of coloured jackets and salopettes cruising down the slopes, and the sheer exhilaration when you let the speed take your skis down the mountain and you feel in control. Top it off with a warm glass of gluhwein and it’s the end to a perfect day.
