As I write I keep my character profiles on my desk, but it's also home to lots of post-it notes and highlighters.
What motivates you to write?
The need to tell the stories of the characters who slip into my mind is what motivates me to write and I love getting to know them better as I write their story.
Share something about yourself no one else knows?
My first Saturday job, when I was 14 was in a hairdressers.
What was your favorite scene to write?
I loved writing the scene at Bethesda Fountain in Central Park, New York. Not only a great location, but a tough scene for Bianca and Liev.

Sounds like an interesting story, but I've gotta say, it's hard to wrap my mind around someone "desperately needing" a diamond bracelet. Something tells me she and I wouldn't run around in the same circles. :)
ReplyDeleteBut her reasons for wanting it are very emotional and not at all what you might expect - or what Liev expected either!

DeleteHaving character profiles in hard copy on your desk to view as you write is an excellent idea!
ReplyDeleteIt ends up covered in notes and scribbles by the time I have finished, but well worth it! Thanks Chrys!
DeleteI love that fountain and that's a steamy cover.
