What are a few things we would find on your desk?
At present? I actually just cleaned my desk believe it or not – so that’s a bit of a miracle in and of itself. What’s left include a several packets of flower seeds my father-in-law sent me and I was meant to plant about a month ago so…ooops! I also have a measuring tape and a photo of my grandmother when she was a late teen – looking all mysterious and beguiling!
What motivates you to write?
I can’t not write. I get panicky sometimes there won’t be enough Alive Time to write the stories duking it out in my head to be told. ‘Me first! Me first!’ Whichever one of them holds their hand up the longest and bounces up and down with the most enthusiasm wins.

Share something about yourself no one else knows?
I really love an excellent dill pickle and feel sweet pickles just aren’t worth the jar they’re stored in. And I have a little thing about forearms. Love ‘em. All muscley and ready to do things….mmmm…..

What was your favorite scene to write?
My favourite scene to write in One Night, Twin Consequences was the opening scene. I just LOVE Harriet and she came to me so vividly that when Matteo came in, I wanted it to be like one of those slow motion entrances The Hot Guy gets in so many films.

Tell us about your book…
One Night, Twin Consequences is the first in a duet about twins I wrote with the wonderful Susanne Hampton. She envisioned writing about a sassy, socially confident, sexy woman and I pictured writing about her polar opposite – even though they were sisters…twin sisters. My heroine, Harriet Monticello is shy, dedicated to her work and a funster, but really, really, nervous whenever the spotlight is on her. Especially if the spotlight comes in the form of Matteo Torres, a doctor who runs a handful of orphanages in Argentina. Impressed by her research, Matteo invites her to come and work in the orphanages with her – even though they’ve shared one sexy night of passion that neither of them feel it would be wise to repeat. The Argentinian weather isn’t the only thing that’s smokin’ hot when Harriet flies to Buenos Aires to make good on her work commitment…. I’ll leave it up to you to discover what happens next!

  4. Nice interview, ladies.

The story line sounds terrific. Annie, I hope you've got lots and lots more Alive Time to get all of those stories out into the world. Here's to much success with this one.

    1. It was great fun. This one was a zipper-oo to get out (that's a highly technical term, of course, for 'fast'). All the best - Annie

    1. Ha! We must be. The seeds, you will be amused to hear - are still there and the desk is - ahem - less tidy than it was when I wrote this - but what can you do? A girl's gotta ....have a messy desk every now and again! Many thanks on the congrats! Best - Annie

    1. Front and centre Karin - Front and Centre. The Googly Eyes are ALWAYS THERE. Next to the Altoids, the stapler and the ever diminishing pile of multi-coloured notecards. xx Annie
