Let's Meet Lynne Silver & Giveaways!

Please welcome author Lynne Silver as she answers some questions and she has giveaways!

Lynne Silver:
By day, Lynne lives the suburban soccer mom life; volunteering with the PTA, doing laundry and working. By night she enters the sensuous world of alpha males and passionate heroines.
She lives in an old fixer-upper with her husband and their two sons. When not writing romance, she reads it. Lots of it. Over and over and over again, preferably with a bag of M&Ms in hand.

Tell us about yourself?

My name is Lynne Silver, I’m a writer, a wife and a mom. The order depends on the day. I live in Washington DC, and I love my city. I can’t imagine living anywhere else. Before I became the only female in a household of boys, I loved to shop, dine at yummy restaurants and read. Now my free time is spent fishing, cheering for the Washington Nationals, and watching SportsCenter. And I love it.

What inspired you to be a writer?

I’ve always been a writer. From the time I could hold a pencil, I crafted stories, letters and other imaginary worlds in my head. I was the editor of the middle school newspaper, and then I stopped all writing activities. I think it was because my mom pushed me to “do something with my writing.” And you know teenagers, we have to do the opposite of what our moms tell us. I stopped writing anything but assigned school papers until I was on maternity leave with my first son. I started a Mommy blog, but every time I sat down to blog, I’d type bits of stories. Dirty stories. And then the local library hosted a “so you want to be a romance writer” seminar. I attended, and the rest is history.

How did you choose your genre?

Money. LOL. The genre chose me. I’m the person who wants JK Rowling to write Remus & Tonks story. I didn’t care about all the adventures Jessica Wakefield got into. I wanted more Elizabeth and Todd. I couldn’t write without a hint of romance.

What made you tell this story and why did you write this book?

I had recently been on a cruise and I wanted to set a story there. The novella also has a reunion theme, which is a favorite trope of mine. I think it’s hard to show true love in 20K or less, but if there’s a shared history…well, it’s more believable to readers.

How did you come up with the title?

Not sure. I just did? It’s called Cruising for Love, and it’s set on a cruise ship.

What is your favourite scene?

My favorite scene is where Jonah, the hero, and Andi, the heroine finally start to hook up physically. Only Jonah THINKS Andi craves domination in bed. So he tries to give it to her even though he’s only ever had vanilla sex.

Tell us a little about your book?

I think the blurb, does the best job of telling about the book. Here you go: When Andi Greene heads out on a cruise, she’s pumped for a fun week of sun bathing and chilling with her best friend. Little does she know her best friend has a number of surprises in store. The first is the cruise’s theme of bondage and domination. The other? Ship’s doctor Jonah Coleman, Andi’s first love, her high school boyfriend—the boy she thought she’d marry before he moved across the country and eventually dropped her cold. But there’s nothing cold about their reunion. Instead sparks fly, and Andi’s relaxing cruise seems set to turn into a week of hot loving.

Jonah can’t believe he’s getting a second chance with Andi—a grown-up Andi who might need more than he knows how to give. But he’s willing to put everything on the line to find out if the heat between them is just the remnants of teenage love or something more. And even though he has to let her go again, he’s determined this time she’ll never forget him.

    1. Thanks! I was as surprised as anyone when the heroine walked into the Cruise clinic and saw her high school boyfriend. I didn't know it was a reunion story. I just thought it was a hot doctor story.

    1. Thank you. The funny thing is I've never been on a real cruise before. Only an eco boat thing. It was so fun doing all the cruise research. Did you know all the big lines have 3-d Virtual tours of the ships? They look amazing.

  11. I enjoy reunion stories.

Isn't it wonderful to be one sort of person during the day and then as writers we can transform at night immersed in another world?
