What’s the connection between a brilliant, hot
cowboy and Jolly Ranchers?
Hello, my name is Donna Michaels, I’m an author of
Romaginative Fiction and I have a new release out that can answer that
question. The hero in Book 4 of my
Amazon Best Selling Harland County Series is the vice president of a computer
software company where he writes codes and creates award winning programs, but
he’s also part owner of a horse ranch, and a Casanova cowboy. No settling down
or getting personal. For Kevin, it’s all about having fun. Until he meets a
resilient single mother who brings him to his knees. Literally.
Blurb
Single
mother, Shayla Ryan, longs to put down roots to create a stable environment for
her baby girl and her younger sister, but the threat of her abusive, ex-con
father finding them has made that almost impossible. Her newest residence in
Harland County, however, holds a lot of appeal, especially in the form of a
Casanova cowboy with eye-catching good looks and easy charm. Those two
qualities took her down the wrong road before, and though the sexy cowboy
interferes with her pulse, she can’t let her heart get in the way of the safety
of her family, or give it to someone who doesn’t believe in forever.
If
there’s one thing software company vice president, Kevin Dalton, loves more
than puzzles, it’s women. Size, shape, race doesn’t matter as long as they
don’t want a relationship—he’s not looking to repeat the past, and more than
happy to remain single. Until two beautiful redheads drop him to his knees—one
with her cutie-pie smile, the other with her elbow. Too bad the elbow-toting
beauty is both hot and puzzling. A killer combination too strong to resist. And
without realizing it, the redheads slowly rewrite the code around his
heart.
But
when the danger from Shayla’s past shows up, can he rise to the challenge to
keep them safe...and really be what they need? A forever cowboy?

This was a slightly different write for me because
Kevin was into fun and not as grounded as the other cowboys in this series. But
once I was a few chapters in, I released he wasn’t so different, he was just
covering pain. I do so love a tortured hero. How about you? What’s your favorite
kind of hero?
I’m having a Release Day Part at Facebook tonight
from 7pm-10pm EST with lots of fun and prizes. I hope you can stop on by.

Thanks for reading,
~Donna
This sounds like a fantastic book! I do love a good cowboy romance and tortured heroes are a lot of fun too! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jemi! I have to admit, torturing these cowboys has been a lot of fun! :-)
DeleteYup, I love a tortured hero, too! Especially a hot, confident one :) And I loved this line: "Until he meets a resilient single mother who brings him to his knees. Literally."
ReplyDeleteThanks, Liz!
DeleteYes, Shayla did literally drop Kevin to his knees when they first met. lol
Thanks for having me here and allowing me to talk about my latest cowboy! <3
ReplyDeleteMy favorite kind of hero is one with tight Levis and a nice butt.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Donna, and much success with Forever Cowboy.
Thank you, Rawknrobyn! Kevin certainly knows how to wear Levis!
DeleteCongratulations to Donna on her new release.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Vanessa!
DeleteThis looks REALLY good!!!! Congrats, Donna, on your new release.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Stina!
DeleteAs a former IT worker, I'm fascinated that male computer tycoons are so popular in romance now! None of the male computer geeks I met were in any way romance hero-ish, believe me...
ReplyDeleteKevin is my first computer programmer hero/rancher, Stephanie. lol He's more the Tony Stark/Ironman type, but hopefully, there are actually a few out there. Two of my three sons are IT majors, specializing in networking and computer maintenance, with certifications in A+. They clean up kind of nice, but, okay, I'm their mom, so I guess I can be pregidous. :-)
DeleteI, too, like a tortured hero. They're interesting.
ReplyDeleteThe book sounds very cute!
Thanks, Shelley! I find them irresistible.
DeleteKevin sounds like a totally yummy tortured hero just right for beautiful Shayla! All the best Donna! Take care
