Kick-Off for BREATHE AGAIN and Kamy Chetty Giveaway!

Let's kick-off the book blog tour for NZ author Kamy Chetty and her BREATHE AGAIN with a splash!

Kamy Chetty around the web:
Over to Kamy Chetty now...

Thank you so much for having me here. It's always a pleasure taking a tour and visiting new places.

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a weakness for men in uniform. One of the happiest days in my life is when they put my hubby in a uniform and no points for guessing why I will discourage a change of job.

I am not sure if I should blame Richard Gere for my fantasies, when he walked into that factory in his pristine navy whites and carried off his girl in 'An Officer and a Gentleman', it was a moment worth the swoon effect.

I do have to admit that Tom Cruise in 'Top Gun' did take my breathe away, and when he came back to star in 'A few good men' maybe I should have admitted that my fate was sealed and I will always get weak knees over a man in uniform.

You might wonder why I am talking about men in uniform when Nick in 'Breathe Again' doesn't wear one, but there is one thing I can assure you abut this man, he is very much a marine.

I admire the discipline and ethics of those men willing to put their lives on the line for their country and the men they fight with. They are the true heroes and they come back from war tortured, in this story, I wanted Nick to know happiness. I wanted him to put aside all the ugliness he saw and find the peace and love he shared with his wife.

Breathe Again is a story I really enjoyed writing because it was real and down to earth. I really do hope you all enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it.

So, tell me who your favourite heroes in uniform are and why?

I look forward to hearing for you.

  4. There is something about a man in uniform that sets him apart from the rest. I don't know that I have a favorite but I do have a lot of respect for the people in uniform, just wish we lived in a peaceful world that no longer needed the military. Sounds like a really good book. (:

  5. I can totally picture Richard Gere in uniform. Definitely a favorite. There is something very special, not just about the man in the uniform, but the man himself.

  11. Hi Kamy, I bought An Officer and a Gentleman from JB Hi Fi recently... I always remember watching it as a little girl with my mum and thinking the moment he carries her off into the sunset was what I was going to look forward to as a grown up and I couldnt wait for my true love to do so.. .hahaha... I'm still waiting...

My fave men in uniform would have to be Marines and I have Suzanne Brockmann to thank for that with her series about the Troubleshooters... HOO RAH!!!
