Meet Author Libby Mercer and Feel THE KARMIC CONNECTION

It's great to welcome author Libby Mercer to RR again on the publication of her New Age romance, THE KARMIC CONNECTION. Like Libby's  earlier novels, it's a sweet romance with plenty of tension and sizzle.  She's stopped by today to tell us all about it.  Let's get to know Libby a little better......

Can you share a short bio with us, Libby?
Born and raised in the heartland of America, my adventurous spirit kicked in after graduating from high school. I've  lived in Boston, New York City and London. I  currently call San Francisco home. For several years,  I worked in fashion -- first as a journalist, then as a shopkeeper and for a while I dabbled in design. FASHIONING A ROMANCE  was my first published novel and UNMASKING MAYA was  the  second.  My third novel, THE KARMIC CONNECTION, was  released in 2013.

Can you sum up your latest novel, THE KARMIC CONNECTION, in a Tweet sized sentence (no more than 140 characters)?
The universe has a twisted sense of humor. Why else would it be so dead set on pairing up a cynical Wall Street guy with an earthy yoga girl?

What's next for you?
In September,  I'll  release the first of my chick lit novels as Anna Garner, which is my real name. My chick lit novels are longer and although they both have romance in them, they're very clearly not romance novels. I have a second chick lit novel ready to go, but I'm not sure yet if I'll release it this year or wait until 2014. I plan to take a little time away from the marketing/publishing world to write some more as well. I started the first book of a trilogy last month, and I would love to dig into that one. If the writing flows, I might actually release that one before the second stand-alone chick lit novel. And I've got a fourth chick lit/romance hybrid that actually stalled about halfway through. I really like the story, though, and I hope I'm able to resurrect it. If I'm able to do this, I'll release that one as Libby Mercer.

THE KARMIC CONNECTION

What is the universe up to?

Guilty of nothing other than working too much - or so they say - Adam Stowe is dumped at a "wellness center" in the middle of nowhere by a couple of concerned colleagues. When he meets Lorraine, the beautiful and bewitching yoga instructor, his spirits start to lift, but once he discovers what a flighty fruitcake she is, they drop back down to subterranean levels.

For Lorraine Jameson, Luna Wellness Center was a beacon of solace when her life was falling .apart, and she can't stand the way Adam's toxic energy is poisoning the peace. He embodies everything negative about the life she discarded eighteen months ago. Despite being fiercely attracted to the arrogant man, she's determined not to let Adam Stowe anywhere near her heart.

Adam and Lorraine couldn't be more unsuitable as a potential couple... so why is the universe so dead set on uniting these two?

The Karmic Connection is a different kind of love story with a cast of quirky characters and a mystical, magical New Age-y flavor.

  6. For sure, this sounds like an intriguing story line. I'm also impressed with how many books Libby/Anna has produced and plans to produce. Wow. I'm an old(ish-ish!) gal who finally managed to get ONE little ol' book out there in the world, so I have somewhat of an idea of how much effort it takes. I'm in awe. Good luck!

    2. Thanks so much, Susan! I can produce lots of books because I don't do much else (haha) but hopefully soon I can concentrate on other things in life. And congrats on your book!!

  7. My goodness, Libby has written a truckload. My output is much slower, revisions seem to take three-times longer than writing it. The logline for the book reminds me of "Dharma & Greg." I loved that show! Wishing Libby the best! :-)
